Canvas Print, as its name, generally refers to professional quality reproduction of image onto canvas (as base media), instead of paper. The printing technology is known as Giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”, is an invented name for the process of making fine art prints from a digital source).

The word “Giclée”, from the French language word “le gicleur” meaning “nozzle”, or more specifically “gicler” (meaning: to squirt, spurt, or spray).

Giclées are specifically targeted to being displayed in indoor lighting; generally bright, direct lighting, such as galleries or offices. Quality reproduction, color fidelity and long term archivability are the major attributes of Giclée printing machines.

In general, Giclée is similar to ink-jet or burble jet technology (Inkjet – commonly used in HP printer; Burble jet – Canon printer). Both techniques use liquid ink fired through specially designed print heads.

However, the terms have evolved to refer to separate and specific printing methods and there are major differences between the two.

We accept most digital file formats (e.g. JPEG, TIFF, PNG, PSD, AI, EPS, etc.) for printing. Ideally, a minimum file size of 1MB and above is preferred.

If your file size is smaller than 1MB or you’re not sure about its quality, you may email us the file and we will help to check and advise you accordingly.

Yes. Most smartphones today are equipped with good phone cameras, and would normally be able to produce good printing quality.

You can perform a quick check by zooming in your photo to maximum on your phone screen, if it still looks clear and sharp (with maximum zoom) then you are good to go.

We will also help to check the photo quality and advice you further if there is a need to replace it with another photo.

The common problems with phone taken photos are the image blurriness caused by hand-shake or under low light conditions. Night scenes or indoor shots with poor lighting are normally come with a high noise level which may not look sharp once they are being enlarged.   

You can perform a quick check by zooming in your photo to maximum on your phone screen, if it still looks clear and sharp (with maximum zoom) then you are good to go.

We will help to perform necessary photo enhancement and touch-up to improve the image quality whenever possible.

WhatsApp will compress all image files for ease of transmitting, hence it will badly affect the image quality and the photo sent this way will not be suitable to use for printing.

However, there’s a way around it by attaching the file as “Document” (instead of photo) in the app, that way you could send the original high-resolution file straight from your phone without compressing it.

(Tips: You could send a maximum of 16MB per file size with WhatsApp.)

Alternatively, you may share with us your wall picture and its dimension (width x height), together with the photos that you wish to display there. 

With that, we will be able to recommend you an ideal wall display design and advise you on the image quality as well.

The production will take around 5~7 working days upon order and payment confirmation received.

It will take another 3~5 working days for delivery if you opt for delivery service, depending on the courier company schedule.

Yes, we do have Expedited Service available for rush orders. Typically, we could have it ready within 2~3 working days, provided that our production can still fit in your order.

There will be a surcharge for Expedited Service, kindly contact us for more details.

Yes, we do help to touch up the photo and perform necessary photo enhancement upon request.

We will also send you a Visual Artwork Confirmation file for your review and approval before we proceed with the printing.

While most of our photo editing and touch-up services are free as we want to make sure all your photos sent will have their best possible output on printing, there might still be some design fees incurred if the editing work is complex and required long manhours to complete the task.

For example, complex editing work such as Photo Restoration on old/damaged photos, Photo Manipulation, change of background, etc. would require a long and detailed touch-up process and hence there will be an additional fee charged.

Yes, indeed.

Upon order and payment confirmation received, we will then proceed to perform necessary photo touch-up and enhancement on the photos submitted (whenever necessary or upon request).

We will then email you a copy of the Visual Artwork for your review and approval before we proceed with the printing.

You will be given a clear visual illustration on how your canvas print will look like and the comparison of before and after the touch-up done. We will only proceed with the printing once your approval is granted.
